What to Expect During Your Treatment?
Cannulas are preferred when applying dark circle fillers under the under eye area because this technique results in less swelling, bleeding, and bruising. As a result of using a cannula, downtime will be minimized and results will be smoother. When you visit our laser medspa, the cannula is inserted on the subcutaneous layer of the skin and a side to side movement is used while injecting. The benefit of using the cannula is due to the pliability of it, your physician can inject multiple areas from just one entry point. As a result there will be less trauma compared to multiple injections using a needle.
Treatment time: 45 minutes
Longevity: Up to 2 years
Expected Side Effects From This Treatment
- Bruising – This is always a possibility with any cosmetic injectable. Bruising will subside with time and will not affect the results of the treatment.
- Swelling – Can take up to 4 weeks for the filler to settle into the tissues properly.
- Asymmetry – Most of us are asymmetrical and have more or less volume loss on one side of our faces. This is especially true for the tear trough area. Our goal is to make your face as symmetrical as possible. Signs of asymmetry will be further corrected at the second treatment. We donโt do additional treatments until all swelling has settled after 4 weeks.
