Aerolase is a minimally invasive treatment for whole, comprehensive skin health.
How Aerolase Works
How Aerolase works depends in part on the type of treatment youโre receiving.
However, in general, the Aerolase Neo Elite laser works by delivering a pulse of laser energy to the treatment site. The Aerolase is able to provide patients with an unrivaled premium experience.
Aerolase Laser for Acne Treatment
Some of the main factors that cause problematic acne include excessive sebum production (skin oil) and inflammation. Many patients who struggle with severe acne have undergone various treatments that havenโt provided results.
Aerolase works by penetrating deep into your skin and producing a safe pulse of laser energy to reduce sebum production, destroy acne-causing bacteria, and suppress inflammation.
Aerolase is recommended as an acne treatment because it is able to help clear any current acne breakouts you may be facing while preventing more acne flare-ups from occurring in the future.
What to Expect During Treatment
Your laser treatment for acne will take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area and the severity of acne. Aerolase can treat acne in many areas throughout the body, including the neck, face, chest, and torso.
Aerolase is non-invasive, so you will likely not need any anesthetic or cooling agents.
Immediately following treatment, you can resume your routine. There is no downtime required with Aerolase. Treatable conditions include:
1. Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation results from a buildup of melanin deposits. Aerolase is a hyperpigmentation treatment that works by breaking up melanin deposits in your skin while reducing vasculature and inflammation.
2. Anti-Aging
For laser skin rejuvenation and anti-aging treatment, Aerolase helps address your skinโs tone and texture, laxity, and the integrity of your skin structure.
The Aerolase Neo Elite laser is attracted to water, hemoglobin, and melanin within your skin. The technology allows Aerolase to penetrate energy through your skin to safely and effectively renew a natural, youthful glow.
As your skin ages, essential nutrients like collagen and elastin begin to deplete. The depletion of these nutrients results in poorer skin quality. Because of worsened skin quality, you may develop unwanted issues such as enlarged pores, uneven skin tone or texture, redness, noticeable veins, sun damage, and age spots.
When used for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation, Aerolase targets water within your skin to help stimulate the production of new collagen. New collagen production helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, pores, and other imperfections while tightening your skin.
Aerolase can be tailored to meet the needs and treatment goals of each of our patients.
3. Rosacea and Skin Redness
Rosacea is defined as a chronic skin disorder that makes your skin appear flushed. In some cases, rosacea is accompanied by spider veins, swelling, inflammatory bumps, and pimples.
Aerolase is an effective treatment for rosacea as it penetrates laser energy into the skin to help suppress inflammation that causes redness.
4. Vein Problems
Aerolase can also be used to treat vein issues such as spider veins and small, immature varicose veins.
In these cases, Aerolase uses its laser energy to damage the veins and cause them to collapse. This doesnโt harm your blood flow, as your body compensates by routing blood to healthy veins.
Over time, your body absorbs the collapsed veins, and they are no longer visible.
5. Psoriasis
Aerolase laser treatments can also help treat psoriasis. Like other treatments, Aerolase works by suppressing inflammation while simultaneously coagulating hyper-vasculature that may be feeding plaque growth.
Many treatments for psoriasis involve a multitude of medications and side effects, but not Aerolase. Aerolase has no reported side effects, is a quicker treatment, and offers a faster rate of clearance.
6. Healthy Nails
Onychomycosis is a nail fungus infection that affects the nailโs color, quality, and thickness. Nail fungus is not only unsightly because it causes an unhealthy appearance, but it can also cause you pain and difficulty performing everyday tasks like walking.
Laser energy treatments are more effective and safer for nail fungus than traditional treatments like topical creams or oral medications. To treat nail fungus in toenails and fingernails, Aerolase only needs one or two treatments.
Aerolase is able to penetrate deep into the nail bed to help eradicate nail fungus and help you heal.
What to Expect After Treatment
Itโs important to note that when treating nail fungus, the results are not immediate. Your new, healthy nail will need to grow, and that can take anywhere from 3 to 12 months.
While your nail is regrowing, itโs important to follow a preventative care regimen in order to avoid reinfection.
During your consultation with Dream Med Spa & Laser Center, we will be able to answer any questions you may have and offer you a post-treatment plan.
However, in general, itโs good to follow these rules:
- Apply anti-fungal cream for one to two weeks after your procedur.
- Spray inside your shoes with an antifungal spray after wearing them.
- Spray the affected areas with anti-fungal spray regularly.
- Keep your shower floor clean with bleach.
- Throw away any nail polish you used prior to your procedure.
- Clean all nail instruments with a cleaner that includes bleach.
- Exercise caution while in public areas such as public showers or hotel rooms.
You should see healthy growth in your nails over time after your Aerolase treatment.
